Guildlock is bringing Deadlock esports to Guildhouse in San Jose with online qualifiers on July 11 and 12, followed by a live LAN event on August 8 and 9, 2026.
Guildlock is set to be one of the next major North American LAN tests for Deadlock.
The Guildlock Invitational is planned for August 8 and 9 at Guildhouse in San Jose, California, with online qualifiers taking place July 11 and 12. The main event is expected to feature an 8 team field, a double elimination bracket, and BO3 matches throughout, giving the growing Deadlock scene something more serious than another online bracket like Deadlock Night Shift.
The community in person LAN event is what makes Guildlock important. Deadlock esports is still young, and most of its competitive circuits have been built through community events, online tournaments, and early team projects. A LAN gives players a real stage and gives fans a better look at which teams can perform outside the normal online environment. I think LANS give a huge boon to Deadlock team brands as well. Where else are you going to get your Melee Creep shirt signed?
Community interest has also been growing since the event was announced. The new Guildlock flyer lists FPS Lounge among the invited teams, with more teams still to be announced. That gives fans an early look at the kind of competition the event is trying to bring together while still leaving room for qualifier teams to fight their way into the main event. It still isn't confirmed whether or not top EU teams will be invited and attending. However, I can bet they will be competing in those online qualifiers.
Guildhouse is also a good fit for the event. The venue is built around gaming, tournaments, watch parties, and live events, which gives Guildlock the space to feel like a real esports stop rather than a small side tournament.
Some details still need to be confirmed, including the full invited team list, final prize pool, donation details, and full broadcast information.
Even with those questions, Guildlock already looks like an important step for North American Deadlock. If strong teams attend and the qualifiers deliver, San Jose could become one of the first real LAN tournament of our early NA scene.
